Hi Everyone! First off, I’d like to thank you for taking the time to get to know a little more about me! I have my Associate’s Degree is Business Administration and I work full-time at my family’s construction company as the Corporate Secretary. I am the 4th generation to work for my family’s business and I plan to continue working there and upholding the family name. Work and school keep me pretty busy, so you’ll have to excuse me if I don’t update daily, even though I’m going to try hard to do so!
I started book blogging about 6 years ago (wow, I’m getting old!), but school and work unfortunately had me busy enough that I could hardly find the time to even read. Over those 6 years I’ve had an on again, off again relationship with both my blog and reading in general, and lately it’s been off again. I’m hoping that by getting back into blogging I can reignite my passion for reading and find some books to explore.
Back when I was a Sophomore in High School, I had a blog on Xanga and all I did was talk about Twilight. Seriously. That’s all I did. I was the most annoying person ever! Yes, I went through the Twilight phase, very extremely, but I’ve moved on from Twilight now, I promise.
You can see my favorite series and authors listed on the right side of my blog, and you can check out the weekly memes I participate in on the Memes page shown at the top of the blog!
Besides reading all the wonderful (and not so wonderful) books that I review and talk about on the blog, I also have a passion for writing stories myself. This passion started when I was in Elementary school writing stories for Language Arts, but it really blossomed in middle school when my friends and I started writing what is known as fan fiction (at the time we had no idea that this was an actual thing since we were fairly new to the internet). We would write stories about us and the Sprouse Brothers (Suite Life of Zack and Cody for my 90’s baby followers) and The Jonas Brothers (hey, they were a big thing back then!) It really took off in High School though when my friends and I joined the creative writing club (and became co-presidents). While in college I took two creative writing classes, which really helped me explore more aspects of writing, including the horror and gothic writing class I took, which was really out of my element and had me doing all my homework in broad daylight! One of these days I will find the time to start working on a full project of my own, but for now you can find some of my work under the writing category here on my blog!
Another one of my passions is photography. I love being able to capture memories for not only myself but for other people as well. Even though I’m busy with everything else in my life, I recently invested into starting up my own company, KayTee Creations! The website is www.creationsbykaytee.com if anyone is interested in checking that out!
My family and friends are supportive of my endeavors, though they often laugh when I come home from the library with about 10 books (which is why I just bough a new thirty-one bag embroidered with “Keep Reading” for when I go to the library) or when I get books in the mail at work!
I hope you all enjoy and if you have any questions or want to talk, be sure to visit my Contact Me page to see my E-mail, Twitter, and Goodreads links!
